These are the earliest notes for Magi Paivaine, long before coins appeared. Dated 1993, these were in numerous denominations. 1 Poimda was thought to be valued at about a penny in US currency but with currency tied to silver, today 1 Poimda would be almost 75 cents. These were for local use. None are available. NOTE: This is the oddest note I have ever seen. The best way I can describe it is the sort of paper like ornate paper in an old book, typicall glued to the stiff cover on the inside of the bound book. This is not stiff but much like fabric instead of paper although you can tear it with some effort. There are various colors and string-like pieces added to make a most unusual note.
